How can we reframe discipline so that it moves us from conflict toward connection with children? Young children look to the adults in their lives for guidance and a predictable rhythm that supports their growth and well-being. When we shift our mindset from managing behavior to building relationships, discipline becomes an opportunity for children to learn. 

What does working out of imitation look like in practical terms in the classroom and in the home?  What is Steiner’s reasoning behind this practice? How can one explain working out of imitation to parents and colleagues who are not familiar with it? 

RECORDING ONLY In this two part course, we will explore three reflexes: the tonic labyrinthine reflex (TLR), the Moro, and the Fear Paralysis Reflex. The TLR is composed of two distinct parts: the TLR with excessive extension and the TLR with excessive flexion. The Moro is also a two-part reflex with an extensor and a flexor component. There is a relationship between the Moro and the Fear Paralysis Reflexes.
