Intern Teacher Position
This 13 month position begins on June 16th, 2025 and continues through July 11, 2026.
The Intern Teacher is enrolled in the Birth to Three Certificate Program, which begins on June 22, 2025.

After completion of the Birth to Three Certificate in July of 2026, the Intern Teacher has three options:

To enroll in the Birth to Seven Certificate Program while continuing to work in the Child Development Program as a 2nd-year Intern Teacher

To transition to a teaching position in the Child Development Program
-
To end both the internship and employment in the Child Development Program
Compensation:
At the end of the 13 month position, Intern Teachers will have
-
a Birth to Three Certificate from Sophia’s Hearth, paid by Sophia’s Hearth
-
Early Childhood Associate Teacher credentials by the State of NH
-
a minimum of 9 Early Childhood Credits
1st Year Intern Teachers are paid $16/hr at 40 hrs/week, with increases in pay for 2nd-year interns, and additional increases for Early Childhood Teachers.
Requirements in the First Year:

Enrollment in the Sophia’s Hearth Birth to Three Certificate Program

Completion of 9 Early Childhood Credits, if needed (Sophia’s Hearth will help with the registration and process and will cover tuition costs)

Completion of the requirements of the NH Licensing Bureau for Early Childhood Teachers (Sophia’s Hearth will help with completing those requirements)
