Discipline: Creating a Culture of Connection
How can we reframe discipline so that it moves us from conflict toward connection with children? Young children look to the adults in their lives for guidance and a predictable rhythm that supports their growth and well-being. When we shift our mindset from managing behavior to building relationships, discipline becomes an opportunity for children to learn. 
In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to listen, reflect, and share with others during the live online session, offering a deeper exploration into the question of discipline and practical ways to apply it in work with young children. Participants will receive a link to Katherine’s recorded presentation after registration.
 
This workshop includes two separate recordings. The first recording was available to participants before the live session and includes lecture from Katherine Scharff. The second recording includes the community discussion that occurred live on Zoom on January 31, 2026.
