Katherine Scharff

Katherine Scharff serves as the Administrative Director of Sophia's Hearth and Director of Teacher Education. She holds a Birth-to-Seven Certificate from Sophia's Hearth, has completed advanced training in the Pikler Approach, and is a Registered Nurse with additional education in Anthroposophical nursing. Katherine is also a certified Simplicity Parenting Family Life Coach.

Her professional experience includes teaching preschool and parent-child classes at the Waldorf School of Saratoga Springs, New York, and serving for nine years as Administrator of its Nursery through Grade 12 program.

Katherine is deeply committed to the care and development of young children, with a particular focus on the birth-to-three years. She finds joy in spending time outdoors through gardening, hiking, and biking, and cherishes opportunities to be in nature with family and friends.
