PROGRAMS FOR FAMILIES AND THEIR YOUNG CHILDREN

Sophia’s Hearth Family Center carries at the heart of its mission the support of parents in creating a healthy, nurturing family

CHILDCARE

We offer a full time, year round childcare program for sixteen young children from three months to five years.

CLASSES FOR PARENTS TOGETHER WITH THEIR INFANTS, TODDLERS AND PRESCHOOLERS

Our programs support the development of parents’ self-confidence and trust in their abilities. We enable families to strengthen themselves through education about the development of infants and young children, reflection, good conversation, and the experience of community with others. We provide childcare support so that working parents may feel confident and joyful that their children receive the highest quality care while they are away.

PARENT AND INFANT CLASSES

Beginning soon after birth, parent and infant classes provide parents the opportunity to find supportive, warm companionship with other parents in a group setting facilitated by experienced early childhood educators.  As their children grow, the classes invite parents to continue with their toddlers and young preschool age children.

THE WONDER OF THE WOODS

The Wonder of the Woods’ adventures offer parents to the opportunity to accompany their young children, ages two to four, for a morning together in the out of doors throughout the season guided by naturalist and early childhood teacher Amy Fredland. There is no charge.
