EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHERS
Do you imagine going on daily walks with children in the Magic Forest? Sophia’s Hearth, located in Keene, NH is an independent WECAN certified Early Childhood Education Center serving up to 32 children aged 3 months to six years old. Sophia’s Hearth is currently searching for candidates to fill the role of Early Childhood teacher. Sophia’s Hearth offers an opportunity to join a worldwide generation of early childhood teachers who put the dignity of children into practice with ideas developed over the past 20 years.
Our teachers, embrace anthroposophy, as a living philosophy and seek to serve the children in our program with a focus on development of the whole child, head, heart and hands. Sophia’s Hearth staff collaborate and work within a consensus model of leadership, taking up tasks when called upon. Teachers are responsible for planning, implementing and guiding caregiving and free play activities for their group of children.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION:
18 credits in Early Childhood Education,
First Aid & CPR Certification,
Ability to meet and maintain New Hampshire Early Childhood Teacher Certification,
Teaching experience and a Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher training certificate preferred.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY: We offer a unique opportunity for full scholarship, valued at $19,800, for our Birth to Seven WECAN certified Program. The scholarship recipient is asked to make a commitment to work full time at Sophia’s Hearth for 4 years. Full compensation is provided for the 40 hours per ECE Teacher position while attending class.

EARLY CHILDHOOD SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS WANTED
Sophia’s Hearth Family Center is seeking substitute teachers for our early education classrooms. We are seeking part-time availability, and are open to having a flexible schedule. This position is for teachers working with children from six months to five years.
We are seeking candidates who are warm, nurturing, kind, and patient. Experience in Waldorf early childhood education is appreciated, but not required. We are ideally looking for substitute teachers who have six credits in early childhood education including child development.
