Current positions available: Substitute Teachers
Sophia’s Hearth Family Center has provided family support programs in the Monadnock region of New Hampshire for over ten years. Our new beautiful, purposefully designed and environmentally sustainable building not only serve families in our region, but will also welcome many professionals as visitors, students and interns. We provide full time, year round childcare to our community for up to 14 infants and young children, from 7:45 am until 5:15 each day.
The ideal candidates for these positions will bring a background in Waldorf early childhood education and in the approach of the Pikler Institute. They will also bring respect for parents and their needs and choices, as well as interest in working collegially with other staff at Sophia’s Hearth Family Center to develop a supportive, sensitive community of coworkers. As the program's emphases include introducing the young child to the natural world, including growing and preparing foods for and with the children, the ideal candidate will have a joy for being in nature and an interest in gardening and cooking.

Substitute Teachers
Qualified candidates should have:
· A deep love for young children;
· A minimum of 1000 hrs of experience working with children in a licensed child care program or public or private school.
Sophia's Hearth Family Center offers competitive salaries, paid vacation and sick leave, and training in our professional development programs. Health care benefits will not available in 2010. Salary information will be forthcoming.
